Jennifer is known for representing her clients with integrity, compassion, and meticulous attention to detail. She understands that buying or selling residential real estate will be among the largest and most important transactions her clients will ever engage in. She is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and superior legal representation, so that clients can rest assured that their rights and interests are well protected and their transactions are handled with the utmost care.
Prior to opening LAI & RO, Jennifer was a real estate attorney at the law firm of Simpson Thacher and Bartlett in New York City, where she worked on a wide variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings and joint ventures for private equity firms, national and multi-national corporations and individuals. She has also worked in the New York real estate groups of other prominent global law firms, such as Sullivan & Cromwell and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
Jennifer offers her clients depth and breadth of experience, together with a practical, hands-on approach. Her time as a Big Law attorney trained her to quickly and efficiently identify, analyze and resolve potential issues, always with an eye towards the economic and real world implications for her clients. Jennifer ensures that her clients not only receive the highest quality legal services, but also that they understand, feel comfortable with, and are included in every aspect of the real estate settlement process.
Jennifer is a graduate of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University where she was a double major in International Business and Marketing, a minor in East Asian Studies and also a Trustee Scholar. She went on to receive her law degree from St. John’s University School of Law where she graduated cum laude, was an editor of the St. John’s Law Review and also a three-year recipient of the St. Thomas More full academic scholarship.
Jennifer is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and an active volunteer in the community. A native of New Jersey, Jennifer lives in Scotch Plains with her husband and two sons.

Paula has built her career on superior client service delivered through her forward-thinking insight, attention to detail, and unwavering patience, integrity and hard work. Before forming LAI & RO, Paula was a complex commercial litigator at renowned global law firm, Dewey Ballantine (later, Dewey & LeBoeuf). There, she developed a breadth of expertise in real estate, construction, business contracts and tax litigation, representing and advising multinational companies in high stakes matters presenting cutting-edge legal issues. She at all times maintained her steadfast commitment to providing the highest level of legal representation to her clients with an eye toward efficiency, transparency and cost-effectiveness.
Real estate has always been Paula’s passion. After moving from Manhattan to the suburbs of New Jersey, Paula decided to dedicate her career exclusively to real estate settlement so she could help others navigate the tangled web of buying and selling homes. The sophisticated legal matters she faced as a Big Law attorney have trained her to recognize and defuse potential liabilities before they come to fruition, a skill that she has carried over to her real estate settlement practice. Above all, she is passionate about changing the client experience of real estate settlement, one closing at a time.
Paula graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, where she was a recipient of the John Harvard and Harvard College Scholarships. She obtained her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and served as an Articles Editor for the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology.
Paula is a member of the New Jersey and New York State Bars and is also admitted in the US District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she has made the New Jersey / New York area her home for over a decade and currently lives in Cranford with her husband and two daughters.
